2. Superintendent and Board Members

Minutes: Charlie Van Zant was sworn in as the new Superintendent of Schools.  Carol Studdard, having been re-elected was sworn is as School Board Member, District 2.  Tina Bullock, District 3 and Johnna McKinnon, District 4, were sworn in as newly elected Board Members.  The Honorable Tim Collins, Circuit Court Judge, administered the Oath of Office.

3. Elect Chairman

Minutes: Janice Kerekes nominated Carol Studdard. Johnna McKinnon nominated Lisa Graham. Since there were 2 nominations, the Superintendent asked for a show of hands; Carol Studdard was elected Board Chairman by a majority vote.

4. Elect Vice Chairman

Minutes: Johnna McKinnon nominated Lisa Graham for Vice Chairman.  Motion carried 5-0.

5. Establish Date and Time of Meetings

Motions:
Regular School Board meeting shall remain the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Teacher Inservice Center at Fleming Island.	- PASS

7. Presentation of Plaque

Minutes: 

Superintendent Van Zant presented Carol Studdard a plaque of appreciation for her loyal and dedicated service as School Board Chairman for 2012.
